I used to have a very normal life until I had that accident that affected my hearing big time. Engaging in conversations became very difficult as I could easily express myself and my thoughts but could not understand others’ expressions, ideas, and opinions. Because of the disability a lot of my relationships have deteriorated. People started to refuse to deal with me. I have even experienced giving up my job just because no one seems to be interested in talking to me. I did not get a Hearing aid right after I had the accident as I had to go through a lot of tests first and and I did not have the time to go an ENT doctor to seek help in ordering a Hearing aid. It was when my last girlfriend left me that I realized I needed to make some changes. Since I have become busy at my new job, I could only do my shopping and most of my reading online. It is good that I found an online store that sells hearing aids in all brands and styles. I was able to order online and schedule the testing, programming, fitting, service, follow up care, and others at my available time. I also was able to get a 45 day warranty which I didn’t really get to use as my hearing aid fit me perfectly. My new hearing aid helped me regain friends and restore relationships. I can also relate to my office mates better with my new hearing aid.
