Close family ties has brought me to understand the most unique and demanding needs of the elderly. I have taken care of my great grandparents when I was in fourth grade, and I am happy to be caring for both my grandfather in my mother’s side and my grandmother in my father’s side. I have reason to believe it has become a calling that I need to fulfill. The joy of doing something overlooks the dreadful details of being a so-called job. I do not expect to get paid for what I do. In the midst of the material world, I do not have to get paid for showing love to people who are responsible for my being.

This is where I decided to enhance my elderly care know how through a proper certification through an online CNA training. While still in college and taking up my Environmental Management degree, I simultaneously got on to the Acadamus class list for CNA training just because I had to be better in this area which I love doing.

Call it tacky or idealistic, but loving people and making yourself able to love better is the motivation for me to take up formal schooling in order for me to love these elderly better. The online cna training was not too difficult to enroll in, simultaneously accomplish with other heavier tasks, and even complete. The resources used for the training itself are very understandable, making CNA a career that anyone can always tread or take a career shift to.

I have heard of the name Don Colbert before as I remember accompanying my mom to this forum where he was a guest speaker, and I did not pay much attention back then to what he was talking about as I was not particularly interested in the topic of his seminar was and it passed off as such eventually. But a few months ago, out of boredom, I happened to read one of his books from the Bible cure series and it certainly piqued my interest so I got off to finish that series and I even borrowed my mom’s books about it. This made me quite a follower of Don Colbert books and eventually I was myself going to bookstores to check on his latest works as I really like his style and his ideas which all seem very practical to me. And if ever I cannot find a copy of his book from the local bookstore, I would go online to this christian bookstore site called www.nestentertainment.com which actually has an almost complete set of his series and also, some other earlier works which are hard to find anywhere. Now that I almost have completed my collection of his books, my goal I to actually be able to see him live one of these days like the time when I accompanied my mom, but this time, it will be me personally who will be listening in on his lectures, not my mom.
